Pressure Gauge

Pressure Gauge Calibration

Unfortunately, we do not supply Calibration Certificates for general purpose pressure gauges.

Low-cost gauges are simply replaced if the pressure indication appears to be off as the cost for gauge calibration is approximately $60.00 per gauge. Depending on the application the gauges can be checked for accuracy by using a water test gauge to verify that the two gauges indicate the same system pressure, this is often done by connecting to the hose bibb on a tank fitting package.

Depending on the risk level, the use of a high quality / calibrated test pressure gauge may be required. From our experience pressure gauge calibration is typically limited to higher end gauges used in manufacturing and processing plants where accuracy is of significant importance. Most processing plants rotate pressure gauges and other instruments based on their calibration cycle or during quarterly, semi-annual, or annual shutdowns. Typically, spare gauges are kept in inventory and sent out to be calibrated just before they are scheduled to be installed. The devices that are removed are then scheduled for calibration so they will be ready for use in the next cycle. Setting up a regular pressure gauge calibration cycle minimizes the chances of inaccurate pressure readings and improves the monitoring and oversight of your processes.

If you have pressure gauges or other instruments that need calibrating, contact a local professional calibration lab. This will reduce shipping costs and ensure the calibration is completed correctly.

In most cases, calibration can be done within 5 - 10 business days, however this must be determined with the calibration lab.
