BPF Series – Brass Push-Fit Fittings

Special requirements for underground installation: Although an unbroken line of PEX is always ideal for a buried water supply line. It is important that if a BPF series fittings used that it is properly wrapped when making an underground installation. Wrapping with a quality silicone tape will help the connection last by providing an impervious barrier between the fitting and the soil. Wrapping ALL underground connections provides protection when there are unknown and / or adverse soil contaminants which will accelerate the rate of corrosion of the brass fitting. It is very important to wrap all underground fittings for warranty protection. Failure to properly wrap brass push-fit-fittings will void the warranty!

SSPEX Series – 304 S.S. ASTM-F1807 Crimp PEX Fittings

It is important that if a SSPEX series fittings used that it is properly wrapped when making an underground installation. Wrapping with a quality silicone tape will help the connection last by providing an impervious barrier between the fitting and the soil. Wrapping ALL underground connections provides protection when there are unknown and / or adverse soil contaminants which will accelerate the rate of corrosion of even corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel fittings. There are areas were soil conditions have a pH value less than 4.5 and there is a presence chlorides and stray currents which could have adverse effects on stainless steel that must be considered.

It is very important to wrap all underground fittings for warranty protection. Failure to properly wrap SS PEX fittings will void the warranty!

All other products are covered by a 1 Year Warranty Policy.

Boshart Industries Inc. warranties this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase. The warranty covers the replacement of the defective product only and does not include damage or labor costs incurred. Faulty installation, abuse and/or misuse of product in a manner that is not intended voids this warranty. The policy at Boshart Industries Inc. has been to issue credit or replace product on warranty claims upon confirming the validity of the warranty claim. Boshart Industries Inc. reserves the right to request that any or all products being claimed for warranty be returned for inspection.

All warranty returns must have a RA (Return Authorization) before being returned. RA’s are valid for a period of 30 days from date of issue. Goods will be returned on the instruction of Boshart Industries Inc.
