Compression Coupling

Do you carry Dresser couplings?

No! Dresser is a registered trade or brand name. It is not a specific type of coupling.

However, when someone is inquiring about a Dresser coupling, they often mean the popular Style 65 compression coupling. This coupling is a boltless type with compression nuts for plain end steel pipe connections. They have both a short and long pattern, and also offer adapters and 90° elbows.

That being said, if you asked…

Do you carry galvanized malleable iron compression couplings?

The answer would be yes!

Boshart offers the GCC series galvanized malleable iron compression couplings. These are similar to the Dresser Style 65 coupling.

They are also a boltless type with compression nuts for plain end steel pipe connections. The brand may be supplied as either JINAN “MECH” or PANNEXT “P”. Both are of the same design and can be used for the exact same applications.

CAUTION! There are many types of Dresser couplings.

Dresser was the original manufacturer of boltless and bolt type compression pipe joining devices, allowing slight misalignment, vibration, expansion, and contraction with a very simple and rapid installation process. To this day their Style 65 galvanized malleable iron compression couplings are still commonly referred to as Dresser couplings.

Dresser couplings are available in many different types and models, therefore if someone asks for a dresser coupling you will need to take a deeper dive into what they are looking for.
