What are the working pressures of schedule 40 and 80 PVC fittings?

It is estimated that Schedule 40 & 80 PVC fittings should carry a pressure rating of no more than 60% of the rating for the equivalent Schedule PVC pipe.

The tables below present suggested maximum working pressures for Schedule 40 and 80 PVC fittings based on a water temperature of 73°F (23°C). The chart also includes the derated operating pressures, as operating temperatures increase to the maximum allowable temperature of 140°F (60°C).

 This information is to be used as a general guide only. Actual allowable pressures may vary widely with field conditions.
