Induction Relay

How long can the wire between the induction type relay and the electrode be?

How long can the wire between the induction type relay and the electrode be?

The maximum distance limitations between the relay and the furthest electrode for typical induction relay secondary circuits are:

  • 220 Volt Secondary - 900 feet (274.3 m)
  • 360 Volt Secondary – 350 feet (106.6 m)
  • 480 Volt Secondary - 250 feet (76 m)
  • 800 Volt Secondary – 70 feet (21 m).

Size 18 AWG or larger Type TW or THW wire is recommended for the connection to the relay.
