Do you have a well cap for 6.90” O.D. well casings?

The WTCC-66-CI cast iron well cap for 6-5/8” I.D. well casings works perfectly on either a 6.90” or 7.0” O.D. well casing.

Well caps are typically referred to by the nominal casing size. For example, a 6” well cap fits a 6-5/8” O.D. casing and a 6-5/8” well cap fits a 7” O.D. well casing. Being the outside diameter of one cap is the same size as the well casing inside diameter of the other, it does cause a little confusion.

When selecting a well cap it is helpful to remember that they are referred to by the “nominal” well casing size which is based on the inside diameter. However, since the seal is on the outside diameter of the casing, you need to make sure you select a well cap based on the well casing O.D.

We have tested the 7” well caps and our WTCC-66-CI series well caps which are designed with a wide sealing gasket, and they have sufficient range to seal perfectly on either a 7” O.D. or the smaller 6.9” O.D. casing. Whether the casing is steel or PVC this sanitary well cap is a great solution!
