Can BOSHART BPF and SSPF Push-Fit fittings be installed behind-the-wall?

The BOSHART BPF and SSPF 304 SS Push-Fit fittings and certified by IAPMO for concealed installation inside a wall. It is important to pressure test the system before closing in the wall.

It is highly recommended to verify with the applicable National and Local plumbing and or

 building codes for your specific applications. Consulting with the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) over the project, the AHJ must follow the applicable plumbing and building codes, however they have the power to reject a product or material that meets all the codes. 

The piping must be protected from accidental puncture from nails or screws with metal nail plates. It is highly recommended to pressure test the system prior to sealing up the wall. Always make sure to adhere to all applicable National and Local plumbing codes. 

Push-Fit fittings, while approved for behind-the-wall installation, are not the only option. It is recommended to investigate all the options and choose a solution that best suits your expectations for behind-the-wall installations.
