Can a 9037HG standard action float switch can be converted to a reverse action in the field?
Yes, the Class 9037 Type HG, Series A Closed Tank Float Switches can be converted from standard action into reverse acting float switch, this modification can be done in the field. You also can change a reverse action (pump up) switch into a standard action (pump down) switch.
For example: A standard action 9037HG30 switches has contacts which close (start pump) on liquid rise for pump down or emptying applications and it can be converted into a 9037HG30R switch that has contacts which open (stop pump) on liquid rise for pump up or filling applications.
Instruction to modify or reverse the switch action
Relocate the operating link to the opposite slot in the base plate and to the corresponding hole in the adjusting plate. Refer to the float and link positions in the diagram below.
