Are replacement parts available for the 08QTWH Series Quarter Turn Wall Hydrants?

Yes, we carry replacement parts for the BOSHART 08QTWHxxx Series Wall Hydrants. Before ordering parts make sure that that the wall hydrant is a model 08QTWH the series will be printed on the identification disc.

Measuring your Valve Stem

The chart below details the stem length measurement to determine the replacement stem length for your hydrant. You will need to remove the old stem assembly to measure the stem.

WARNING!

Do not try to turn out the stem assembly! Quarter Turn Wall Hydrants Stems do not turn in and out of the valve body in the same way that Multi-Turn wall hydrant stem assemblies. When the packing nut No. 13 has been disengaged from the valve body the stem is simply pulled out of the body the valve cartridge has a HEX shape that slides into a HEX shaped pocket in the body which keeps the valve assembly from turning when the handle is operated. If you attempt to turn it out, you will break the stem off the valve cartridge assembly. Never turn the handle more than the quarter turn (90°) rotation as shown on the identification disc in the handle.
