Pressure Switch

What is the function of a HUBBELL 69WC7 “GARD-IT®” pressure switch?

The HUBBELL “GARD-IT®” pressure switch protects your water systems submersible pump from burning out due to running dry because of a low water level in the well. However, the 69WC7 is not limited to this water well pump application, they can be used to shut off any pump due to a low-pressure condition.

The HUBBELL 69WC7 is wired in series with a conventional (regular) pressure switch. When failure of the water or air supply causes the systems pressure to fall below the cut-in point (pump start) of the regular pressure switch, the GARD-IT switch will trip opening the contacts and disconnecting the power to the pump motor.

When the cause of the low pressure condition is corrected and the water or air supply is returned to normal, the system is placed back into automatic operation mode by holding the manual reset lever in the start position until the system pressure builds up and exceeds the GARD-IT cut off level setting.

The cut-off range can be set between 3 and 20 PSI.
