What information is needed to select a suitable Pressure Switch?
Answering the eleven basic questions below will make the selection process much quicker and will ensure you get a switch that meets your expectations and is a suitable pressure switch for the application.
11 Questions
#1 – What is the pump motor horsepower (HP) = ½ HP
#2 – What is the pump motor voltage (V) 110/115, 220/230, 460/575 = 110 VAC
#3 – What is the power phase (Ph Single (1 Ph), Polyphase (3 Ph) or direct Current (DC) =
#4 – Action type (A) Standard Action – Contacts Normally Open (NO) vs. Reverse Action “R” - Contacts Normally Closed (NC) = Standard
#5 – Desired pressure setting – PSI for Pump on and Pump Off (Note the differential will need to be with in the switches limitations)= ?
