PTFE Thread Seal Tape Pressure Rating

The maximum pressure rating for P.T.F.E. tape will exceed the pressure rating of the other components in the system when properly installed.

The best practice when making high pressure connections, like for system pressures of 1,000 PSI or higher, is to use a high quality 4 mil thick premium, high density PTFE tape. Refer to the tapes listed below.

The published pressure rating for the tapes shown below is 10,000 PSI.

TT260-PP             1/2” x 260” Pink Plumbers Thread Seal Tape – 0.004” (4 mil) Thick

TT260-SS              1/2” x 260” Gray Stainless Steel Thread Seal Tape – 0.004” (4 mil) Thick

TT260-GAS          1/2” x 260” Yellow Gas Line Thread Seal Tape – 0.004” (4 mil) Thick

TT260-OXY          1/2” x 260” Green Oxygen Thread Seal Tape – 0.004” (4 mil) Thick
