Do you have well packers for artesian / flowing water wells?
No, we do not carry well packers!
WELL PACKERS
The well water must be contained below the frost line, just above the Pitless adapter. If the water is allowed to reach the surface it will flow from the vents in the well cap and the entire casing above the frost line (bury depth) could freeze solid.

To achieve the containment of the water below the frost line a product called a well packer, which is often used along with a Sanitary / Watertight well cap, is installed at the well head.

WARNING!
Capping of artesian or flowing wells is usually strictly regulated under your local water well construction codes. Boshart does not have the expertise to advise on what can or cannot be done within the water well construction codes and regulations. These codes keep on evolving because of the new construction processes, innovations, and techniques that require a dynamic set of rules. The regulations may also vary from one area of the country to the next. It may be illegal to seal off a flowing well due to the danger of the water pressure blowing out or around the annular grout seal on the outside of the well casing which could lead to big problems and costs.
Always make sure to refer to and follow all applicable water well construction codes. Seeking professional advice from your local water well authorities on how to cap a flowing well is strongly advised.
ALTERNATIVE OPTION TO USING A WELL PACKER:
Industrial “Spool Type” Pitless Adapters / Pitless Units available for 5” through 12” well casing sizes are also an option for artesian / flowing well applications the flowing well spool option eliminates the need for well packers.
