Filter Cartridges which are compatible with Filter Housings sold by Boshart.

The majority of filter housings and filter cartridges used in the water industry are double open ended (DOE) cartridges which are designed to seal at both the top and bottom by compression against the round knife type seat seal in the filter head (top) and in the filter bowl (bottom). This seal can be directly against the filter media in the case of a string wound or spun poly depth cartridge, or against a plasticized end cap on PAC type carbon or pleated type filter cartridges. Other types such as cannister type GAC granular carbon or carbon block cartridges will seal against rubber gaskets incorporated on the ends of the cartridges.

There are different designs of filter housings and filter cartridges in the market which are either double open ended (DOE), which are designed to seal at both the top and bottom (top) and in the filter bowl (bottom), or single open end (SOE) cartridges, which are designed to seal at the top by O-rings which are inserted into sockets in the filter head and the bottom is closed with an end cap.

If the filter you have has one of these cartridges illustrated below, the replacement cartridges sold by Boshart will not be compatible.
