Can the gray TT260-SS P.T.F.E. tape be used on materials other than stainless steel?

Yes, the part number TT260-SS (1/2" x 260" x .004" S.S. TAPE) can be used on all fitting materials with equal success. This is great for the plumbers starting to install stainless steel fittings and valves as they can reduce the number of items to stock on the service trucks where space is limited.

The TT260-SS can cover all applications and should preform equally as well as the Pink Plumber or Premium High Density PTFE tapes when used to join brass, bronze, malleable iron, PVC, and steel fittings, nipples, and valves.
